Nominee — Best Performance by an Actor, Black Money Love

Born and raised in Ankara, Engin Akyürek graduated from Ankara University's Department of History before turning to acting. His first television series, “Yabancı Damat”, became the first Turkish series exported to Greece and a turning point for Turkish drama abroad.
His debut film “Kader” (2006) won him Most Promising Actor from both CASOD and the Cinema Writers Association. He led “Karayılan” and “Bir Bulut Olsam” before playing Kerim in “What Is Fatmagül's Fault?” (2011) — the role that made him one of the most loved actors in Türkiye, the Middle East and Latin America.
As Ömer in “Black Money Love” he won Outstanding Actor at the Seoul International Drama Awards and earned an International Emmy nomination in 2015. Recent work includes “Godspeed”, “My Name Is Farah”, “Istanbul My Love” and “Old Money”.
